Having enjoyed some pieces from John Tavener's relatively small output of solo piano music, I was thus looking forward to this disc. It is, however, a disappointment/5(4).

Heard here in its version for soloist and strings, Pratirūpa is one of Tavener’s longer piano works, its title a Sanskrit word meaning ‘reflection’.
